2025. On April 13, 2025, the Hungary Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka officially opened its doors, and since then it has continued to attract visitors with its distinctive architectural solutions, immersive folk music performance, and vibrant cultural programs.

The cultural showcase presenting Hungary began the very next day, on April 14. Opening the series was one of Hungary’s most popular contemporary bands, Bagossy Brothers Company, who performed on the Festival Station Stage. Their concert was a resounding success, captivating not only Hungarian visitors but also the international audience. The powerful performance provided a strong start to the Hungary Pavilion’s cultural program.

Throughout the first week, Hungarian folk music and dance took center stage. The Bajkó Ensemble performed three times at various venues across the Expo site, enchanting audiences with authentic Hungarian melodies. Their performances not only entertained but also offered a deeper insight into the rich traditions of Hungarian folk music.

On April 19, the week culminated in a special joint performance: Bajkó Ensemble appeared on stage together with the young dancers of the Örökség dance group, presenting the colorful and diverse heritage of Hungarian folk dance. The lively and spectacular show was warmly received, inspiring many visitors to explore Hungary’s cultural roots more deeply.

In celebration of Easter, the Hungary Pavilion also prepared a special program: a musical and dance performance in front of the Hungary Pavilion that has showcased Hungary’s centuries-old Easter tradition of “locsolkodás” (sprinkling), presented by the talented musicians of Bajkó Ensemble and the young dancers of Örökség.
Based on the experiences of the first week, it is clear that the Hungary Pavilion is not only impressing visitors with its architecture and exhibition content but also successfully representing Hungary through its vibrant and living cultural programs at the World Expo.
