Musical Bridges: Liszt Academy’s Journey to Japan
We are delighted to present an extraordinary musical collaboration featuring Prof. Gábor Farkas (President of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music) at the piano, joined by our talented students and distinguished Japanese alumni musicians from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. This special concert bridges cultures through the universal language of music, showcasing a diverse repertoire that spans from Classical elegance to Hungarian folk traditions.
Today’s program showcase Verdi’s beloved Brindisi from Six Romances. We celebrate our Hungarian heritage with Bartók’s vibrant Romanian Folk Dance and Kodály’s evocative “A csitári hegyek alatt,” before exploring Weiner’s charming Divertimento No. 1. The evening culminates with Chopin’s passionate f-minor Piano Concerto.
