The singers of the Hungary Pavilion perform at @expo2025japan in unique, eye-catching costumes.

The idea was to bring together some of the most beautiful traditional clothes from across the Hungarian-speaking regions.

The result is a skirt and apron inspired by the Kalotaszeg style in soft white and ecru, combined with a blouse and bridal headpiece reminiscent of Mezőkövesd.

The costumes themselves tell a story: lace ribbons, embroidered cloths and old linens, once kept safe for decades, now live on in these special costumes.

The Japanese audience absolutely loves them, and they take countless photos, videos, and sometimes even sketch the costumes!
