The event aims to present the structure and tools of Hungarian cultural diplomacy, with a special focus on the activities of the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Center in Tokyo. The event will begin with an English-language presentation by Gábor Csaba, Deputy State Secretary for Cultural Diplomacy, offering a brief overview of the network of Hungarian cultural institutes abroad. Following this, Krisztina Merényi, Director of the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Center in Tokyo, will deliver a lecture in Japanese, providing insight into the institute’s diverse activities.
The event highlights the power of culture in fostering cross-national dialogue and emphasizes the role of cultural diplomacy in building peaceful international relations. We warmly welcome all those interested in international cultural cooperation and in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the cultural ties between Japan and Hungary.

10:15–11:00 – Presentation by Krisztina Merényi, Director of the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Center in Tokyo, on the activities of the Institute and Hungarian–Japanese cultural relations
