Csík Band

The Csík Band is one of the most significant and most highly acclaimed representatives of Hungarian folk music, enjoying unbroken popularity for 37 years.

Throughout its career, the band has won numerous prestigious awards, including Hungary’s highest state honor for contributions to culture — the Kossuth Prize — as well as the Prima Primissima Award (Best of the Best), the Hungarian Heritage Award, and the Fonogram Award.

During their concerts, Csík Band blends traditional Hungarian folk music with contemporary musical styles, all while honoring and preserving the rich cultural traditions with great respect. From 2025, in a spirit of renewal and with the aim of reaching younger audiences, the band will continue its journey with the talented young singer and violinist Tibor Gál, who, at just 20 years old, approaches Hungarian musical traditions with equal respect.
