How can we create a future that is both innovative and sustainable while staying rooted in tradition? How does design shape the way we live, connect, and build our society? Through the perspective of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME), we explore these questions by presenting student projects that merge sustainability, technological advancement, and cultural heritage. Inspired by the vision of the world-renowned Hungarian photographer, painter, and designer László Moholy-Nagy — who believed in the transformative power of design — we see creativity as a tool for shaping a more responsible and forward-thinking world. Our work reflects a commitment to designing spaces, objects, and experiences that balance tradition with the needs of the future. The lecture showcases the efforts of MOME, Hungary’s leading art university, in this regard, presenting them to an audience interested in contemporary design and creative industries, as well as traditional and modern arts.
