How Do Science and Art Interact?

Last time, two distinguished experts – Kenji Sumiya, Member of the International Muography Research Institute, and Hiroshi Nakajima, painter, art education specialist, and Secretary General of the Kansai Hungary Friendship Association – delivered clear and engaging lectures on the connection between muography and art.

This event will go even deeper, featuring keynote addresses by Akira Yanagimoto, former Parliamentary Vice Minister, and Tetsuo Arakawa, former President and Professor Emeritus of Osaka City University, and Chairman of Osaka Social Welfare Medical Hospital.

The program will continue with a symposium exploring the dynamic relationship between science and art. Featured speakers include Takefumi Hayashi, Professor at Kansai University, and Toshihiro Fujii, Associate Professor at Osaka Metropolitan University, who will share scientific perspectives; Kazuo Tanaka, Associate Professor at Waseda University, offering insights into science education; Michinori Oshiro, a pyramid specialist; and Hiroshi Nakajima, painter, art education expert, and Secretary General of the Kansai Hungary Friendship Association.

The symposium will be moderated by Kenji Sumiya, member of the International Muography Research Institute. Each of the contributors is a distinguished authority in their field.

This occasion offers a rare opportunity to experience a dimension that transcends the limits of scientific language – revealed more fully and vividly through the language of art.
