Situated in the heart of Central Europe, Hungary has cultivated a distinctive tea culture shaped by European influences. Unlike regions where black tea prevails, Hungary is renowned for its rich tradition of herbal infusions, with chamomile holding a particularly esteemed place. Its significance is beautifully reflected in the flourishing chamomile showcased at the Hungarian Pavilion of the Osaka Expo.

In this special gathering, we will explore Hungary’s cherished herbal teas alongside Mimasaka Bancha from Okayama, Japan – a tea that symbolizes the bond between Mimasaka and its sister city, Keszthely in Hungary. Complementing these teas, a selection of Hungarian confectioneries will be presented, offering a refined pairing that highlights the delicate harmony of flavours across cultures. We invite you to join us for an enriching experience of taste, culture, and tradition – where East and Central Europe meet in a graceful dialogue through 3 different kinds of tea and sweets.
