Many people find science difficult, distant or “for the chosen few”. Yet the basis of mathematics and physics is nothing more than playful curiosity: the desire to understand the world. In the lecture we will show you – and we will try it out together! – how to bring scientific thinking to life with playful tools such as escape rooms, quizzes or team competitions. The aim is not only to motivate students, but also to give us, as adults, teachers and other interested people, a new perspective on the world of science. If you sit in, you play – and maybe you’ll go away a little smarter, a little more curious, a little more inspired. Science is not a mystical tower, it’s a tool that you can learn to use well – and if you laugh along the way, all the better.
Speaker:
Dr. István Rácz, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training, Ludovika – University of Public Service (Hungary)
