Our performances capture the full emotional spectrum of Hungarian bar music – from intimate, lyrical ballads to lively, energetic tunes – always thoughtfully tailored to the occasion. Through our music, we bring the authentic atmosphere of Hungarian bars and lounges to life, both at home and on international stages. With a versatile repertoire that can be performed in multiple languages, we blend tradition, warmth, and energy on every stage. Over the past five years, we have delighted audiences not only in Hungary but also across the globe, earning enthusiastic acclaim for our performances.

Zsófia Anna Sárköziné Németh
I was born in Budapest and began studying music in elementary school. I completed 12 years of studies at the renowned Kodály Zoltán Hungarian Choir School. Alongside choir, I studied private singing and piano and participated in both national and international competitions. After high school, I was admitted to the piano program at the University of Debrecen, where I earned a master’s degree as a classical pianist and music teacher. After completing my studies, my husband and I formed the Sophie & Joseph bar music duo to preserve Hungarian bar music traditions, in which I perform as a singer.

József Norbert Sárközi
I was born in Budapest and grew up in a musical family. For me, music is not only a passion and joy but also a family tradition. I learned the art and craft of bar music from my father, who was not only my greatest inspiration but also my first mentor. I pursued classical piano studies at the district music school and at the Weiner Leó Conservatory. I began my career as a bar pianist at the age of 16. I actively perform as a bar pianist both solo and in duos.
