Botond Téglás – Violinist
Botond Téglás, an eighth-grade student at the Reformed School in Sárospatak, has been playing the violin since the age of five. He has performed in nearly 20 countries, from European stages to world-renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Musikverein in Vienna.
In 2021 he was recognized as one of Hungary’s Young Talents of the Nation. Most recently, he performed at the Tokyo Golden Classical Music Awards gala concert at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, and took part in the Hungary’s National Day celebration at the Liszt Institute in Tokyo.
He currently studies with Professor Georg Hamann at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and from September he will continue his training at the University of Debrecen’s Faculty of Music in its program for exceptionally gifted students.
