Zoltán Mága
Zoltán Mága is one of Hungary’s most renowned violinists, acclaimed worldwide for his distinctive crossover style that masterfully blends elements of classical, folk, gypsy and popular music. His musical repertoire includes classical pieces, jazz and even popular music elements. His artistic mission is to represent the rich Hungarian cultural heritage and to strengthen the positive image of Hungary through music.
In this spirit, he has performed on five continents, in nearly 100 countries, enchanting audiences that included heads of state, royal families, religious leaders and world-famous artists – among them Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Francis, King Charles III, President Donald Trump, Robert De Niro and Salma Hayek.
One of the most significant milestones of his career in Hungary is the Budapest New Year’s Concert, which he founded in 2009. This grand-scale musical celebration has since become a tradition and an emblematic event of international acclaim.
