One of the aims of the Hungarian Pavilion is to reinforce in visitors the importance of preserving nature and traditions. The concept of the Hungarian Pavilion sees the solution to global challenges in the preservation of intergenerational values, and therefore emphasises the importance of coexistence with nature and our heritage. The building’s design and use of materials is inspired by respect for nature and cultural heritage.

Both Japanese and Hungarian folk architecture incorporate natural building materials and traditional construction methods, creating a close link between man and nature. Both cultures are strongly linked to nature and to the relationship between man and nature. In architecture, this is reflected in the unity of the natural landscape and constructed environment.

The main attraction of the exhibition area is the huge dome, where every visitor can be part of an ever-changing performance of Hungarian folk songs and folk music, evoking the common pentatonic culture. The longitudinal building next to the front garden houses gastronomic and community areas. The facade of this part of the building evokes the canopy of the forest.
