As part of the 2025 Osaka World Expo, the Hungarian Pavilion will host a special event: a celebratory gathering organized by the Japan – Hungary Friendship Association. The event celebrates the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, highlighting the importance of cultural connections, shared values, and mutual respect. The Friendship Society has played an active role in building Hungarian-Japanese relations for decades, whether through artistic, educational, or community initiatives. The goal of the program is to strengthen dialogue between the two nations and contribute to future collaborations through new encounters and shared experiences.

10:30–11:00 – Greetings and opening remarks

  • Opening remarks (Chairman Shimizu)
  • Greetings from the Commissioner General of the Hungary Pavilion
  • History of the Hungarian Friendship Association (Executive Director Igaya)
  • Activity report of the Kansai Hungarian Friendship Association (Director Mukoyama)

11:00–12:00 – Panel discussion on Hungarian-Japanese relations

  • Representing Josai University, Vice Chairman Kitamura gives opening remarks and introduces the panelists
  • Anita Nagy introduces the history of exchanges between the Hungarian Cultural Center and Japan, and the charms of Hungary
  • Josai University’s relationship and activities with Hungary: Shinozaki of Josai University
  • Historical exchange between Hungary and Japan (Executive Director Haba)
  • Question and answer session

13:00-14:00 – Lecture by Mr. Sandor Kiss and Ms. Reka Kiss
14:00-15:00 – Concert

  • Cello performance (Shimoshima Mano)
  • Flute quartet (Collier de perles)

15:00-16:00 – Wine seminar
16:00- Closing remarks by Vice Chairman Kitamura
